THE GROUPIE SHOTS | ANGELFIELDS

Updated: Sep 30, 2021

Another photo shoot for the wedding, and this made me happy because this time, we asked our entourage to join us. I already blogged about our Engagement Shoot (see my previous post) at Stilts, Calatagan, Batangas and I want to show you another shoot we made with the bride and grooms maid which actually happened first before we did the solo-couple Stilts shoot. This was extra special to me because I insisted of having a photo shoot with our entourage as I want the memories with them to be preserved on a photos. Remember, they are the closest people you have, the reason that they are part of your wedding entourage and it was a good excuse to bond with them and did something unforgettable before the wedding day. I know it was not part of the tradition and not included on the official photographer contract. Its practicality may be questioned as it will be an added expenses to the couple's wedding budget and considering that most of your entourage were working or busy, one of the possible problem is having to put them all together at one place. But shake it off. :) There are a lot of ways to pull it.

You can ask some friends who have a good camera and talent on photography and ask another who have a talent in editing to do it for you. It will be a catch if that talents belong to one person only. You don't need a pro if that is the issue since of course a pro means a higher talent fee. I know you have those talented friends and colleagues, use them. And as what I experienced, friends were extra nice and so willing to lend a helping hand to those getting married couple. So if lucky the only things you need to worry are food and transportation for the group. And about the time, they will find a way to be there, trust me. So plan it well.

For the location shoot, it was free as this was the venue of our wedding. I think the free use of the venue for photo shoots is an inclusion to every wedding venue contract, just make it clear and coordinate it properly to avoid the hassle.

We were lucky that my fiance has a photographer friend which I personally picked to do the this shoot as I'm a fan of all his works. But let me make it clear, it was not free (we insisted to pay though I guess he gave it on a friendly price) . Ha ha ha! He is a friend and we cannot take advantage of that. You cannot let those talents just be free. Unless they offered it as a gift or insisted it to be free, then it's fine. And in those cases, find something to give them to return the favor. :)

Enjoy these brilliantly done photos:

Location: Pope John Paull II Pavilion, Angelfields

Black is always an elegant choice.

The plan was to maximize the outdoor location as Angelfields has a beautiful landscape with wide trees and healthy green grass but unfortunately, it was raining all day so all of the shots was taken indoor only to discovered that it was not unfortunate after all. The rain actually made these last two shots romantic, we shouldn't be complaining. And all the areas of pavilion was a photo back drop-worthy, who would say it was a bad idea. Indeed a blessing in disguise.

And it was a wrap! :)

All the props was made by us and the dress was conceptualize by me. The girls did the "make up your own face" thing and I don't think someone will be concern of that. With the brilliant work of our photographer who directed everything, the product was now part of my cherished treasure. It was really fun and memorable so I hope you won't forget to enjoy it as well.
