After a tiring and productive day at the City of Prague, we spent our 1st night at the cottage of my sister's friend. The cottage was located on a more rural area just outside the city of Prague. We woke up on the next morning energized with the fresh and relaxing view of the countryside. The first plan was to return in the city and visit some other places but decided to just rest and walk around. Although we didn't pushed the original plan, our second day was equally fun and intimate. Most of my sister's friends were with their families and everyone was warm and accommodating. We felt at home in their company.
Morning view.
The cottage was a two-storey old wooden house. Though aged, it still looked stable and felt homey. There was one bedroom at the ground and one large bedroom upstairs which we occupied (me, my younger sister and papa). The upstairs room can accommodate more than the three of us but for some reason despite the cold weather, everyone wanted to sleep on their tents. According to my sister, they didn't mind the cold because they had that blanket which looked like you are in a cocoon. Fully sealed and warm. And they loved this kind of set up when they were out wth families.
That was my sister sneaking at the balcony. She was all sore because of the steps we did on our 1st day especially the climb at Petrin Tower. :)
Since we came the other day at almost dark, we were excited for the morning to see what was around. Glad I had my running shoes with me, the walk became comfortable. And I loved how the look of my shoes on the ground that was full of fallen leaves.
Refreshing drink after our walk.
Although it was warmer in the morning, the wind was still cold. But because of the walk, I had to take off my sweater.
The scrumptious lunch waiting for us at home after the walk. I can still remember how my taste buds loved the food. Yum! We just talked and eat and laugh the whole day. We were really thankful for everyone who had been so nice to us. I was glad I had met them.
Sunset shot from the cottage. And this was taken at around 8 PM. During summer, it gets dark mostly at around 9 PM.
And that was the Prague from afar. We had an overlooking view of the City.
Our 2nd day was fun and memorable even if we just stayed all day at the rest house. And a chance to meet my sister's friends on the place she considered home was heartwarming. It was hard to be far from her as she is now living on a different Continent but knowing that she have those people for her while we can't be there for her personally was something we really need to see. We are really thankful for the family she built away from our home. Dekuji friends!
