ANIKA ISLAND RESORT | BANTAYAN

Updated: Sep 30, 2021

Anika Island Resort is a few minutes ride to Sta. Fe Port, the entry and exit point of Bantayan Island. (I made a separate blog for Bantayan Island itself so you can check how to travel to Bantayan). The resort has a free van pick-up from the port, just properly coordinate it in advance to the resort but in case you missed to schedule for a pick-up, there were line of pedicabs and trikes just outside the port that can bring you to any point of the island.

I chose Anika because I was impressed on the resort's eco design facilities. They are using container vans for their rooms and it was clean and pleasing in the eye. Room size depends on the chosen accommodation. We had a Garden View Room which was enough to fit two persons with a nice queen size bed. The space was neat and comfy. The restroom was also good. And my favorite part was the balcony. It was large. The combination of wood partition and flooring with a good quality of chairs and table furniture made it look cozy and inviting. The rooms were elevated making it more elegant from afar. We stayed for two nights and paid a total amount of P4,340.00 without breakfast. This was year 2014.

Yes, I was five months preggy at that time. The excited 1st time parents-to-be.

The resort had a very nice and calm surrounding. The palms were also one of my favorite resort's ornaments.

I loved that they considered the children on their facilities. A mini playground was a plus located in the center of the Resort.

The resort has their own restaurant so there was no need to go out unless you intentionally want to try and check other restaurants. Just take note that it will take around 15 minutes of pedicab ride to reach the Sta. Fe proper where some of the restaurants are located. If you want nearer option, you can also check neighboring resorts for their resto.

The view from the Cafe

The food was good and in big serving. Most of the menu was good for two persons.

Around Anika

Anika has a pretty resting spot facing the beach. This was actually the first thing that caught me. The white colored shade and chairs was really a nice space to relax while enjoying the surrounding. Sta Fe has a lovely sandbar, large and clean shore. So lovely!

For the activities, they have a jet ski for rent. Or you can ask them to arrange an island hopping for you at the Virgin Island.

My bump saying hello!

Since the shore was large and far from the resorts, night swimming was not possible as it was really dark during the night. There were no night parties or activities unless you will be going to the town proper or if your resort has their own entertainment. Not for the party hoppers but definitely for those who wants calm and peaceful evening.

Along Anika are also a line of resorts in Bantayan. And I just want to commend the LGU that they kept those resorts in a safe distance from the beach unlike some of the beach resorts in the country. There was a clean, uncrowded large shore to enjoy. The water are clear, even on the port where a line of boats dock. There was really a lot to love in Bantayan and Anika Resort is one of them. I'm actually looking forward of going back to the island and book another stay at Anika Island Resort. And I hope to bring that little munchkin on my tummy
