BOHOL BEE FARM | A HEALTHY TASTE OF PANGLAO

Updated: Sep 30, 2021

On the first day of our Bohol trip, we rented a van for a halfday tour at Panglao before heading to our Hotel at the same Island. The tour was unplanned as what we wanted was to directly go to the Hotel from the Airport. We agreed on the tour to maximize the cost of the rent since it was the same with renting it on a half day tour. Our driver brought us to Bohol Bee Farm for our lunch and we didn't know what to expect. The place was huge. We thought it was big for a restaurant until we found out that it was also a hotel/resort.

Bohol Bee Farm Resort is located at Dao, Dauis, Bohol, a private owned resort/hotel. Coming from Manila, a 45 minutes airplane ride will bring you to Tagbilaran Bohol Airport. From there, you can take a public transport going to Panglao Island which was about an hour drive. Most of the transportation outside the airport were van shuttle or a cab.

Their restaurant were much known for using organic ingredients on their menu which most of them came from their own garden. So it was certified fresh, clean and healthy. And the restaurant came with a view of the sea and surrounded by trees and plants which made the stay pretty relaxing!

We were greeted with a smile when we enter the restaurant and the crew asked us to pick a table. The place was quite empty at the time that we came in so every tables were available. I guess we were still early at 11AM for lunch. We chose the area which had an open view of the ocean. It was windy and our hair were all over our face. But we loved it!

We were given a complimentary bread with a pesto and mango spread while waiting for our order. It was really good! Or we were just hungry?! But I don't think so. :) Sorry, the photo had been ravaged already.

While waiting for our order.

We ordered a platter good for 4 persons. The platter came with a vegetable lumpia, grilled porkchop, a pesto pasta, an organic pizza, a red rice and a drink. There was also a cone of ice cream for dessert (didn't got a photo) which the cone was made of dried cassava. Yum!

My plate with everything on it. Carbo overload. But it's organic, you know! Hehe!

I loved everything that I have tasted. But the vegie lumpia was an instant favorite. Might feel the urge to always pick organic after this. They were new to the taste buds, but eventually felt home. And considering that the ambiance was also perfect, the dining at Bohol Bee Farm will never go wrong. Though the serving was small for a group, the presentation were quite impressive.

Happy and full customers. :D

There are other facilities in the resort that you can explore before leaving if you don't intend to stay overnight.

Bohol Bee Farm was such a nice welcome to us. Absolutely worth of dining experience. Make sure to drop by if you are in Panglao. Bon Appetit!

You can check their website if you if you are planning to dine or stay.
