CORON WESTOWN RESORT | BUSUANGA, PALAWAN

Updated: Oct 5, 2021

Palawan, as always, never fails. And Coron is one of the best that it can offer. Although Coron is best for outdoor activities, I will be showing you first the place where we stayed that also describes how we feel for Coron. Classic and Homey.

It is not frequent to travel with family so when we do, I make it a point to choose a better and comfortable place for them. Coron Westown Resort provided the comfort that we needed. It is always nice to be welcomed by a relaxing bed and a pleasant room. It will be a bonus if it comes with a beautiful surrounding. After all, it will be a temporary home for the family for a few days.

The hotel's van service fetched us from the Francisco B. Reyes Airport (formerly Busuanga Airport). Unfortunately it was not included on the booking fee so you need to pay for it separately. A round trip airport transfer cost us P350 each. But what I noticed was when I tried to add the airport transfer while booking at their website, it asked for P500 per head. So I didn't included it and just transact on the phone after it was booked and told them we need to be fetched. So if you will do your booking and the airport transfer amount is more than P350, just go directly on their contact numbers. We were picked by a Toyota Grandia. Large for the three of us so the 30 mins drive to the hotel became comfy.

The resort is located along Coron-Busuanga Road, around 30 minutes drive from the airport and at least 10 minutes from the center. It is composed of 4 floors with at least 80 guest rooms. The are was big and pretty nice. I think they are one of the biggest hotel in Coron.

I booked for a Superior Room which came with one queen bed and one single bed. The room was spacious and the beds were comfy and clean. There was enough space for the three of us. It has a small table and chairs. The comfort room was also good with complete toiletries. And the balcony offered a good view of the hotel.

With my roomies. :)

I always love room with balconies. And it was facing the pool area.

View from our balcony. So tempted to run downstairs and jump on the pool.

From our room ,we can see the lobby area and the dining and bar lounge.

My favorite part of the resort is the pool area. They have 4 different swimming parts. My favorite was the largest since it was located in a more private part while the other two were placed just besides the hotel rooms where anyone from the balcony can see you if they were out. Westown has I think one of the largest pool I have experienced from all the accommodation that I have tried so far.

My sister enjoying it as much as I do.

Both pools were surrounded by loungers. Nice chilling place even if you won't swim.

The dining are was in a mezzanine part of the main building. With the size of the hotel, their dining place was surprisingly small. Though it extends in an open area with big umbrellas. We were thankful that we came on the month of February when it was not peak season so we had a lot of time to enjoy the space all by ourselves.

We used to take our meal outside since it has a better ambiance but on our last day at the resort, we tried it inside.

Some of the food we tried. Our booking was inclusive of breakfast. They had buffet every morning but don't expect a wide varieties. And the taste was plain ordinary.

Bar was located in the ground floor. It was cute and nice. They have stage for performers and complete sound system.

We were just pretending. Lol! We tried how it feels to be in the front.

The resort was located in a more private area of Coron although not that far from the Town proper. It will take few minutes to reach the town thru a tricycle and seeing how busy the town was with all the tourists and different bars and travel tours, I was glad we had a peaceful place to go home to every night after our activities. The downside was there were times that no rides were available outside the hotel since it was just few establishments in the area. But no worries, the resort can arrange for pick up of tricycle for you. No extra charge. Tricycle fare was P30.00 per head and can accommodate at least 6-7 passenger at a time.

My favorite girls in the World!

So there. If you decide to visit Coron, I highly recommend the Coron Westown Resort. They are not perfect but I love the view and the privacy of the place. And I will always remember Coron Westown Resort as a place I had good times with my family.

Always create a happy memories in every place with your love ones.
