For a change, we decided to spend a night at Makati for our anniversary staycation, a first time for us since we always prefer Alabang area for a short stay since it is nearer to us in Cavite. I particularly picked Discovery Primea, a 5 star hotel even if it cost a little more than what we spend in a hotel because of its accessibility to the malls. And since our anniversary is in January, the hotel has still its Christmas decor that made our stay a little Chrismassy! :D
L o c a t i o n
Discovery Primea is located at 6749 Ayala Ave., Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines. A Central business district and shopping center location at Makati. So it is not unusual that the stay cost was on a higher range. The hotel is just along Ayala and across the Glorietta mall. From the mall, you can just walk your way to Ayala Avenue and find the underpass to cross. Once you are on the other side, it will take you just few more steps to the big glass door of the hotel.

Once you enter the premises, you will already feel the elegance of the place. The cream colored wall and high ceiling shows sophistication and the attentiveness of the staff make you feel that they were really trained for it. The marble floor was mirrored clean with a warm tone colors of decors.

Discovery Primea has at least 7 dining/bar around. We only tried one which was at the Restaurant Tapenade at the ground level since that was where we had our complimentary breakfast. We also seen the Plunge Bar at the pool area. The rest of our meal was done outside.
B u s i n e s s K i n g F l a t
Our room was a comfortable 40 sq.m King Flat, the smallest size among the rooms that they have. But it was big enough for the family of 3. There was a space for everything. A big couch, a bar/coffee corner with a small fridge, a desk and chair, a flat TV, a closet and yet there was still room to move. Every piece was placed elegantly. I also loved the bed! Our overnight stay alone costed us almost P8,000.00. Meal we spent outside not included yet.

They even have a phone with an internet that the guests can use outside so they won't be lost. Such a convenient!
We really had a nice photo session in the room. The lighting and the background made it all effortless.

If you want to see the landscape of Makati, the infinity pool of Discovery Primea is the best location. Located on the 3rd floor of the hotel, it shows the skyscrapers of the business districts. It was my favorite part of the hotel beside of the room we got.
Our stay was fun and incredible. We can say that we got what we paid for and we are looking forward of going back again.
