LOST HORIZON HOTEL | PANGLAO

Updated: Sep 30, 2021

There are two Lost Horizon Hotel in Panglao, one was the Main hotel which is located along the Alona Beach and the other one is the Annex hotel which is located about a 100 meters from the beach. Most of the time in this kind of choices, I will pick the one which is just along the beach. But learning that the Annex was newly constructed and the Main hotel looked aged already based on the photos, I chose the newer one. The hotel was easy to recognize even from afar because of its bright color combination of apple green and orange. It was not as appealing as it may look from the exterior but I didn't regret choosing it than the other one. The hotel has its own swimming pool, has a private bar and restaurant and seeing the one on the Alona Beach which had been full of people, with strangers making it a way going in and out of the beach, I was happy I booked on the Annex. The room was unexpectedly large. We booked for a family room which was for 6 persons and since we were just four, there was an empty double bed and everyone was free to move without bumping to anyone. The room came with a balcony facing the pool below.

The room has a two king size bed that was comfy and clean and a double deck on the side which was not shown on the photo. It has its own mini refrigerator and an enough bathroom size.

On our 1st night, we had the pool and bar area all by ourselves because everyone was having their dinner / party along Alona beach.

It was good having Lost Horizon Hotel on our 1st time in Panglao. Although not a beach front hotel, I didn't find it as disadvantage because I like the privacy it has given. And a few steps going to Alona beach won't hurt. Just take note that if you will be walking at night from the hotel to the beach or vise versa, there were few meters of pathwalk that was dark. So better to have a company and flashlight with you. Other than that, we have a great time staying at the Hotel.
