NACPAN BEACH | EL NIDO

Updated: Sep 13, 2021

I won't be done with El Nido series until I show you the Nacpan Beach. Nacpan was not part of our itinerary as we only had 4 days at El Nido and considering the 6 hours one-way transport to the Island from Puerto Princesa airport, it only left us a 2 whole days for the tours.

We were left with a free few hours on our last day to the Island before getting back to the City so we asked the locals where else can we go and they recommended the Nacpan Beach. The foreigners that we met on the tour also kept on mentioning that they had been to Nacpan and they loved it. So just to avoid any regrets, as we planned to leave on around 9 AM to catch our 5 PM flight in Puerto Princesa, we woke up at 5AM dawn. Our hotel helped us to rent a tricycle, which was our transportation going to Nacpan. The ride lasted for an hour and we were on the beach at 6AM.

Nacpan at dawn

We were greeted by a long stretch of beach coastline with a long line of palm trees on the side and few residential nipa hut. The place was peaceful and clean. Maybe one of the reasons why the foreigners fell in love with it. This was one tanning haven to them. As they love to lie down in a peaceful, quiet beach. All the privacy that you need was there, it felt like you have the beach all by yourself.

The shore was big. Definitely a dream hang out beach destination.

I definitely loved it but considering that there were also white beaches on the tour, my expectation didn't surpassed it, unfortunately.

If you will check the other blogs, Calitang Beach is the twin beach of Nacpan. We saw it on the far end side of the coastline. Sadly, we didn't have the aerial shot of the twin beach (as you need to trek on a hill to appreciate it both). As much as we want to see it, we were running out of time.

They said Nacpan has a very lovely sunset and I never doubt it considering how stunning the sunrise was.

This was January and the early morning breeze was cold, I need to put my jacket on after some almost naked shots. :)

These palm trees makes me so happy. The reason I extra loved Nacpan beach.

So relaxing. I almost didn't want to leave yet.

We stayed for an hour. I suggest that you gave a day or half for Nacpan. Catch the sunset and take a swim. It will be totally awesome. The tricycle cost was good for a half or whole day rent. They will wait for you and will even help you for a tour since there was also a waterfalls around the area, a 30 mins walk from the beach and some other white beaches around. And Nacpan beach will be good for a picnic. I'm not sure if there were stores around the area so better bring your meals if you planned to stay longer.

Though a little unimpressed at first, I was glad that we gave time to check Nacpan Beach. Seeing the sunrise and the palm trees, I know I have regret it if we didn't pushed it. I hope one day, I can have another chance to see it and I'll make sure that it won't be in a hurry.
