Pico De Loro Beach & Country Club is an easy pick if you want to escape the City for a while. It is just a drive away from Manila. This Residential Resort Village is located in the coastline of Nasugbu, Batangas, giving the condo a nice and pretty access to the beach.

We spent a night at the Resort, just enough time to see what it can offer. This Resort which is located at the far end of Nasugbu will give you 3 options of entry and exit point. Either you use the SLEX through Tagaytay, Coastal Road thru Aguinaldo Highway, or the Cavitex through Maragondon. Just make sure to consider the traffic.
Not familiar on the process of booking since this was a company outing and someone from the group did all the booking works. Though I saw that this are already open to booking sites like agoda, booking.com and airbnb. But as far as I knew, we contacted someone who has a unit at the resort. He provided the authorization, took all the names of those who will join and provided us the total amount. The payment will be paid once you arrive in the resort. They provided every guess with a waterproof bracelet which will be a key to be allowed to use the facilities. Bracelets came with two colors. If you excess on the allowed capacity per unit, the additional persons will have the different color of bracelet dictating their limits on the usage of facilities. Unfair for the group but that was how it works if you avoid paying additional unit.
When we finished paying for our accommodation, a card was given to us. Turned out all transaction inside the resort was cash less. There was a minimum amount that you can load. We got two cards for the group and loaded it with the amount that we think was enough. Our passes so we can buy anything or eat inside the resort. Unfortunately, you cannot encash the amount you put in the card in case you didn't consume all of it on your check out. Quite frustrating. It will be okay if you still have a plan of coming back within a period of one year since the card expires after a year but I guess if you don't have a plan of coming back, better consume everything before leaving.

Pico De Loro has a Pico Sands Hotel which you can pick as your type of accommodation if you prefer less hassle transaction since the condo unit rental needs recommendation from member or unit owner. For groups, condo units will be better for a reason that it will be more cheaper. We rented 3 units. Two units were identical which was composed of two floors, both floor was with a bathroom. It was fully equipped of kitchen appliances like stove, cooking wares, utensils and refrigerator. We brought food for our first night to avoid the costly amount of food inside the resort. The living room downstairs has flat TV and sofa bed. It was comfortable and had enough space. Upstairs room has two beds only and though we were 8 girls that shared the unit, the ground floor with extra beds accommodated everyone in good sleeping position.

The lagoon is located in the center surrounded by uniformed Condo Buildings. It is also behind the beach so this will be the welcoming sight once you are in vicinity. This lagoon uses a salt water.

There are two swimming pools in the Resort. The Infinity pool which was the one restricted to be use by your extra person is facing the beach area. The other one was located on the opposite end of the Infinity pool, facing the man made lake.

This pool was bigger maybe because it is open for everyone. Though not a beach overlooking, I think it was also a good location since it was just beside the Resort's restaurant. And the lagoon was not a bad view after all.

The resort made sure you won't get board. Country club offers a variety of entertainment and recreational activities with corresponding amount. There was a bowling area and billiard tables all in one room. I think I also saw KTV Rooms. Spa was also available. There was also a tennis and badminton courts, gym and other more functional rooms.

And of course, saving the best for last. This area occupied most of my gallery memory. Though I never tried to swim, didn't even got near on the water, I was satisfied on just sitting there while having a snap of the place. I can say that they put a nice touch on look of the beach shore. White is always a nice color to give balance on the intensity of the summer's heat. The sand was in creamy color, not so fine but okay.

Make sure you maximize your stay. Kindly take note that Pico De Loro is located at the far end of Nasugbu. There were no establishments outside of it so you should bring all the things you needed to bring since it will be a long drive if you plan to buy something or eat outside the resort. The reason they made sure everything can be found inside.
It was fun to have this intimate time with work colleagues. A chance to just relax and talk outside of work. I think everyone enjoyed this short staycation and Pico de Loro was a good choice to spent it with.
