SEPOC ISLAND | BATANGAS

Updated: Sep 10, 2021

We were booked at Eagle Point Resort and we decided to do an Island hopping for a half day tour. We have an option to do it in the Sombrero Island (a popular island hopping spot in Mabini) or Sepoc Island. We can do both if we have longer time but we only allotted a few hours before heading home so we picked to spend it at Sepoc Island.

Sepoc Island is not actually an island but a small beach situated at the west end tip of the Maricaban Island, Tingloy, Batangas. Our point of entry was the Eagle Point Resort where we were booked our stay and which is the one who owned the Sepoc Beach, located at Mabini, Batangas, a 3 hours bus ride from Manila to Batangas Central Station at Batangas City and a 45 minutes jeepney ride to Mabini. The boat ride from the resort lasted around 20 minutes.

Boat ride with Xander who didn't want to be taken a photo.

An almost empty beach welcomed our sight with a large wooden structure in the middle which serves as a restaurant/function area. Sepoc Beach has a large shore but the width might just stretched about less than 1 kilometer, good enough to explore an end to end in less than 30 minutes. Though the sand was not that white and has a coarse to rocky sand, it was clean. And it made all the difference.

On the front of the function area was a view deck which was a nice addition to the beach.

The left end of the beach.

At the right end of the beach where this giant hut-liked stone hill can be found.

Though it was not a fine sand, the water was nice and clean.

Found this cute starfish roaming around. :D

Sepoc beach has this line of particular tree that I'm not aware of its kind. It provides a pretty appeal to the beach.

Whatever it is, it gave a nice background to my photos. And I really took advantage.

I have seen a lot of white fine sand beaches in the country and though Sepoc can be considered as regular beach compared to those, I honestly liked it. It was clean and serene and it felt safe somehow. It has a comfort room and a lot of shaded areas where you can just sit and enjoy the place in peace. The size of the beach was also just nice, seeing the place from end to end.

For activities, a volleyball spot can be set up, you can do snorkeling and a little hike to a hill where you can see a viewpoint of the whole beach and nearby island can also be done.

On our way back to the Resort.
