Continuing the adventure at Southern part of Cebu, Sumilon Island is one of the popular beach destination. And since we were already hanging around Oslob, we never skipped to check the reason of it's fame.
Sumilon Island is a short boat ride from Oslob, around 10-15 minutes. Seeing the crystal clear water and white sand from afar, you will know you already reached your destination. The Island has its own 4-star resort, the Bluewater Resort Sumilon which I assumed to occupy at least more than half of the Island. Though I never see the end to end of the Island, this assumption was based on space open for public.
If you're not staying with Bluewater Sumilon Resort, there was an option for a day tour. Based on what I remember, it was P1,000.00 per head. And based on some photos, one of the amenities that people are hooked up to was the infinity pool. We didn't try though. We preferred the experience of the Sumilon beach and I think it was more than enough.
We went last quarter of the the year yet seeing the crowd, it still felt like summer season. Not surprised though living in a tropical country.
What fun looks like? :D
The wave was a little strong that it was hard to stand still. But the almost stumble moments made it all fun.
Beach is always a good idea for selfies :D
Sumilon Island was definitely worth the hype. It was pretty and clean and gorgeous. Can't even fixed myself in one place.
We even met a new friend from Japan. :)
We only spent a few hours in this Island but we definitely enjoyed the vibes. Glad we included this in our itinerary. :)
