It was summer of 2013 when I had my first Tali experience. The outing was organized by my boyfriend's (at that time) friends and although I knew we were going to Batangas, I had no idea what to expect in the place. We were all from Cavite so we just rented a van that brought us to Nasugbu where Tali is located. Tali is actually a name of a private subdivision. It was located almost at the end of Nasugbu Town. Most of the houses in the subdivision were for rent as the location had become a quick summer get away place. You will understand why when you see my photos later. An early booking was needed before going to the place as it served as the entrance pass. I'm not sure if they allow day tours or walk-in guests.
The Entrance
We rented an old two-storey but well maintained rest house. There were two bedrooms upstairs that can accommodate 8 persons in each and a large living room that can also serves as sleeping area if you are in a larger group. It has a balcony that gave us a good view of the ocean. Downstairs served as our kitchen and dining area and the house came with a swimming pool too. It was nice having the place on our own. The house came also with a two housekeepers that helped us with all our concerns and requests. We brought food to cook and did all the cooking (good thing they have utensils to use for free) for the rest of our stay as Tali has no restaurants and the town was a little far if you're planning of having a meal outside.
I have no idea of the actual cost of our rent but If you'll plan to spend a day off at Tali, do it in a large group because the price as what I saw on the web was ranging to 15k and above depends on the type of the house. The cost was understandable as the houses can accommodate large group and the advantage is that you will have all the privacy you needed. The larger the number of person you are with, the lesser the cost. Just take note of the maximum person allowed on the house.
View from the Balcony
Our housekeeper brought us to 3 different beaches inside the Tali. They were all apart and a little far from our rest house so we used our van to roam around.
The 1st beach is the Marina Beach which came with a large and long stretch of creamy sand. There was only one cottage to be use in the area. Still untouched and undeveloped. And the shore was open to direct sunrise. We went at around 2 PM so it was really hot. They have a banana boat for activity.

Next stop was the Main Beach. It has a cream sand with a clear and clean water. And opposite of the 1st beach, it has few cottages and large trees that provide shades for direct sun exposure. There was also large sanded area for a beach volleyball. Jetski was also available for rent. The Main Beach was I think is the best beach for a swim compared to the other 2 beaches.
Our final stop before heading back to the rest house was the Tali cliff and the Sunset beach beside it. These two were my favorite spots. No wonder Tali had been a popular choice of a get away. It has a picturesque spot and the fact that it is just a few hours drive from Manila was a one big advantage.
Cliff diving is one of Tali's a must-do activity and what made Tali famous for. There were only few of the group who tried it. I guess I don't have that brave heart to try it! Not for now.
The view going to the cliff was beautiful. It was the view that completed our visit. Without it, Tali will be just a normal beach spot.
The path going to Tali cliff..
This view made it worth the visit!
That sanded area on the view is the Sunset Beach
Heading to Sunset Beach..
The sand was creamy and the water was full of little stones. Still good for swim though as the water was clear and the stones were not sharp but be careful anyway.
We only stayed for a night. Although quick, I enjoyed my stay at Tali and it now became my goal to be back again soon. It felt like I am home in a place faraway home. The beaches was not that remarkable but you will know why Tali is becoming a choice of summer vacation spot once you had been to the place. The ocean, the cliffs, the sky, the walks. They are perfect together. Highly recommended!
