Fantasy World was not a new scenery to me. As someone who lives in the South (Cavite), Tagaytay and Batangas are the nearest and most accessible unwinding and vacation spots to me. And since Fantasy World is standing along the highway of Lemery, Batangas, it has been a common backdrop to see going to other spots in Batangas. Though the place looks promising from afar, it never really occurred to me to visit the place not just until 2018 when me and my friends decided to try the place.
They said it was supposed to be the Disneyland of the country. But after it was built in 2001, it was left unfinished due to financial problems of the owner. The place was abandoned for years before it was opened to the public and became a theme park destination. You can immediately see the lack of maintenance and improvement of the place once inside. Castle's paint are faded, some were not even finished. Nothing on the rides worked and some were already broken and rusted.

Fantasy World is located along Diokno Highway, Brgy. Mayasang, Lemery, Batangas. From Manila, just drive along Slex and exit at Sta. Rosa. Turn right heading to Tagaytay until you reach the Tagaytay rotonda. Then drive straight along Tagaytay-Nasugbu Road. From the boundary of Cavite-Batangas, you will see an arch on the left side heading Lemery and that is where you will be going. From there, just drive straight along Diokno Highway and after about 10 minutes, you will see the Fantasy World at the left.

I had a chance to be here twice. The first was year 2018. At that time the fee was P1000.00 for 10 pax. The problem was, the amount was fixed. Meaning even if you are alone or just a couple, you still need to pay 1k for the entry. So it was better to come in group. After more than a year, I came back here and fortunately, the rule had change. Fee was on a per head basis amounting to 100.00 per head.
Inside the Fantasy World

The castles are the most distinct features of the theme park. It was like you are back at the medieval era. It was also the one you can spot from afar. In a country like ours in the Philippines where castles are not normal to be seen, these are actually a treat. Though, going inside of those castles are not included in the tour (and I doubt if there are something interesting from the inside), I must say that it serves its purpose to just stand in there and become a photo background of all the visitors.
There were two castles standing side by side. Those were the 1st you will witness once you came from the entrance door.
These were two different visits, if you ask why I wear 2 different outfits. :)
It was nice that beyond the lack of maintenance with some of the structures built inside, they have nicely kept the garden and trees around. They all bloomed so pretty!
There were quite many angle to get a nice shot of those castles.

It would be nice if these rides will be back to life. It was sad to look at them broken and rusted. There were only few like a little Ferris wheel and roller coaster. Didn't took a lot of photos though.
Tree House | Wooden Bridge
There were two wooden houses in the area built in a twin trees. A wooden bridge was also made to connect the two trees. Crossing the bridge can be intimidating sometimes especially on that height and if it's too windy but believe me, it was just a short cross even if it looks long from the bottom view. I even enjoyed staying longer in the middle of the bridge if not only there were people lining up to have their photo taken at that same spot. The stairs going up and down was also made of wood spiraled in the trees.
Surroundings
Though the entrance fee was consumable for the whole day tour inside the park, an hour will be enough to see everything in the inside. Unless you just wanted to sit there and rest. It was actually nice to kill some time in those surroundings especially on the hours where the sun was not as hot and the wind is starting to get cold.
The garden maze.
All in all, it was a nice place to visit but don't expect much since it will be more of photo activities. Weekend can also be crowded and was hard to take a solo decent photos so better be aware on that. You can't also bring food, even water since there's a store inside which I found unfair and yes, the price is doubled. My favorites are the flowers from the garden and the view from the tree house. If you want a unique getaway, Fantasy world is definitely a-must in your list.
